Pizzicato
The Polonaise is, along with Krakowiak and Mazurka, the Polish folk-dance par excellence. Zuzanna Budzynska and Szymon Ogrysek play a program of such Polonaises for violin and piano, composed by Henryk Wieniawski, Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Lipinski and Emil Mlynarski. Due to their origins, the two young musicians feel an almost personal closeness to the composers and their works. So, it is no surprise that they approach the seven pieces with a clear and genuine gesture and succeed in creating a beautiful bouquet of Polonaises.
